Ed and Vicky Bangayan recently sold a home through Liz Bates, Real Estate For Good and donated $2,500 of their commission savings to Laurie’s Everest Base Camp fundraiser. Ed (pictured, second from the left) shared that his gift is in memory of a family member who passed away from lymphoma. He was inspired by Laurie’s story of survival and we were inspired by his generosity!

The Foundation for Living Beauty is to empower women to increase their physical wellness and emotional stability while coping with the taxing effects of cancer and chemotherapy. The issues that women with cancer and cancer survivors confront each day are complex. Living with cancer and the harsh treatments that often accompany the disease are known to lead to inhibition of emotional expression, decreased physical ability, altered physical appearance, depression, high stress, anxiety and other detrimental effects that hinder the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of women. The Foundation for Living Beauty helps women regain their sense of femininity, self-worth, beauty and emotional stability after coping with the taxing effects of cancer and chemotherapy.

WELCOME TO MY LLS CLIMB2CURE EVEREST BASE CAMP FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN TO RAISE $250,000 FOR CANCER RESEARCH

I have had a long and intricate dance with a blood cancer called follicular Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. Originally diagnosed in 2006 (when my son was only in kindergarten) with this incurable cancer at the age of 46 and with a very poor prognosis, over the next 12 years I underwent six different cancer therapies. Sadly, none of them led to a complete remission and I relapsed six times. Summer 2018, I participated in a clinical trial at UCLA of an immunotherapy called chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy (CAR-T).
